Introduces the richness of the liturgical year, teaching all to live their faith through the Church's seasons and celebrations.

Living Liturgically is a program for all parishioners! This is a time to come together and learn more about what it means to “live life abundantly” (John 10:10). Living Liturgically is designed to help you build up your domestic church. We will learn, pray and grow together as a family of families.

What to expect?

Living Liturgically meets periodically throughout the year. By joining the Living Liturgically Flocknote (see Next Steps), you will be kept up-to-date with events and materials to help you enter more deeply into the life of the Church.

Some of the events we host are:

Pray & Play: We pick one (sometimes two) saints a month to celebrate. We meet at the park for a snack and/or activity related to the Saint, play for a bit and then go to daily Mass together. These events are always on a Tuesday or Thursday from 4:30-6pm to offer parents and families a chance to receieve the Sacrament of Penance and the Holy Eucharist.

Easter Sunday Egg Hunt: Celebrate our risen Lord with a fun egg hunt and coffee and donuts!

Divine Mercy Sundaes: Learn about and pray with the Divine Mercy devotion with a Special Holy Hour and yummy Sundaes.

Advent and Lent Formation Series: Join us on Fridays during Advent and Lent for whole family formation. Details can be found on the events page.

Volunteers

We are always looking for people to help make these events the best they can be! If you would like to volunteer for material prep, set-up, event assistance, tear-down, etc, please contact Jera Blanchard-Towns at jera.blanchard-towns@saintjohnpc.org.

The Mass

The Mass is a foretaste of the heavenly liturgy, where the faithful will worship God eternally in the company of the saints.
