Corpus Christi

Dear Parish Family & Friends,
A blessed Solemnity of Corpus Christi! What a beautiful and rich feast. Last week we celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity – the central mystery of our Christian Faith. This week we celebrate what we may call the central mystery of our Catholic Faith in particular.
When we come together for Mass, God comes to be with us in a substantial way through the miraculous transformation of the bread and wine into the very Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is God’s real presence with us. In every tabernacle in every Catholic church and chapel, the Lord awaits us, remains with us, and blesses us.
Today, let’s take the opportunity to reflect on this mystery and ask the Lord to help us not take it for granted! He gives himself to us completely out of sheer love and desire to be united to us. Let’s respond with our whole selves in loving devotion.
We believe, Lord. Help our unbelief!
Peace.
