Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

By virtue of of our Baptism into Christ Jesus, we are all missionaries - beginning in our own families and parishes.  Like the Apostles, we are called to reach out to our brothers and sisters in faith through love, sacrifice, and service, and to help build God’s Kingdom in our world.  I invite you to assist in the mission of the Church by supporting the 2026 Black and Indian Mission Collection.

Historically, evangelization efforts through parishes, schools, and ministries serving African American, Native American, and Alaskan Native communities are sustained by grants from this collection.  These funds are essential in strengthening Christian communities and sharing the joy of Knowing Christ.  Here in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, your generosity has helped support African American evangelization initiatives across the diocese, as well as the Cause for Canonization of the Martyrs of La Florida.  Your commitment truly makes a difference - both locally and throughout our nation.

On the weekend of February 21-22, 2026, our parishes will participate in the Black and Indian Mission Collection.  Together, we build up the Church and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ,  Your generosity reflects the depth of your faith and your concern for our brothers and sisters in need, and it directly supports the Church’s missionary work among African American, Native American, and Alaskan Native communities.
