Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Read this week's bulletin to see the latest from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Each year at this time, I come to you seeking your support for the many ways the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee serves our parishes and ministries throughout northwest Florida.  I am privileged to serve alongside the many dedicated men and women who work diligently in service to the Church and her people.  I am particularly grateful for the work of our ministries team.  They were instrumental in my decision to move the diocese to “Restored Order” in our sacraments, as explained in my second pastoral letter, “Reborn, Anointed, Nourished: Faith and Formation for Life” published last May.  They continue to play a vital role in helping to put in place the foundational elements needed to build a vibrant family catechesis effort.

Forming families in the way of discipleship is our priority.  The Church teaches that parents are the first educators of their children in faith, and the local church and wider community are here to encourage, empower, and equip them in this awesome task.  Lifelong formation has been proven to transform lives.

When contributing to CSA, your helping hand is present at critical moments in someone’s life - providing ministry, support and hope precisely when it is needed most.  We al want our charitable gifts to be used wisely and where the need is greatest.  That is exactly what the CSA accomplishes in your name here in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee.

May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly for your support in this effort.

In Christ’s love and service,

Most Reverend William A. Wack, CSC
